I am plugged into shore power out of nowhere my generator

Customer Question

I am plugged into shore power out of nowhere my generator "on" lights go on, the hours indicator comes on but the generator is not on. I go to generator and hear a clicking type noise, push the start/ stop button right on generator and nothing. I did disconnect battery power to generator and generator lights obviously went out. Any thoughts appreciated.

The most likely cause of this is that the controller has gone bad.

The other possibility is that a short has suddenly developed either in the remote harness, or in the genset itself.
