I have a bad boy mower that was running fine until I engaged

Customer Question

I have a bad boy mower that was running fine until I engaged blades then quit. Will not start back. No fire to plugs ,checked carburetor ,getting fuel & tested regulators still won't fire. Any ideas?

Hi, my name is***** will be assisting you.

If you are getting no spark to the plugs there are only a couple things that could be wrong.

  1. You have a wiring or safety switch problem that is keeping the ignition coils from firing.
  2. The ignition coils have gone bad and are no longer firing.

An easy way to check this is to unhook the small wire that attaches to the ignition coil and crank the engine. If you get spark then you know that your problem is backwards in the wiring or the safety switches. If you still have no spark with those wires unhooked then the ignition coils have gone bad and will need to be replaced.
