Hi, my name is***** will be assisting you.

If your generator has a voltage regulator on it, you have most likely damaged the regulator. Any time that a generator is started with a load on it if it is equipped with a voltage regulator you will damage the regulator.

If you can provide the model and serial number of your generator I can try to assist you with determining for sure if you have a voltage regulator or not.
