Customer Question

I have a new controller board for my Generac 04109-0 (built around 1999). How do I get the top off the unit, so I can access the upper box that holds the controller board?

Hello, thank you for requesting me.

To get the top off, all you need to do is to remove the bolts from around the top, and then pry it off. Generac used some type of sticky sealant when they put that top on, and it can be a bit difficult to remove. But once started, it will come off fairly easy.
