Do you know what engine you have? 2 cycle, 4 cycle, single cylinder or twin engine? Solenoid only affects the starter generator.

You have tried a different spark plug, and you have no spark with the plug grounded when cranking?

When did cart last run?

2 cycle, no spark with new plug, 1 month ago

Two cycle has trigger coil at flywheel, the coil, and an igniter. Have you checked the wiring from trigger coil to ignitor. Look for two connection, it has to make good connection or no spark.

You can test the trigger coil with ohm meter. With the two wires from trigger, check to see if ohms bounce when engine is cranking,

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 2 years ago.

If it does, trigger is ok.

19980-G1 is the service manual. I downloaded one a few months ago, but I don't know from where!

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 2 years ago.

If trigger checks out, I think I would try a new coil.
