Customer Question

Sir: I have a 2004 Model 12GRCA /4229A with a Honda 670 ng engine. I was running the unit when by accident the A/C came on resulting in an immediate overload and unit shutdown. Unit will not restart. Fault code shows four blinks then pause. What do I check? Many thanks, ***** *****

My name is ***** ***** I am going to assist you with this.
First, the plug gap on this unit is supposed to be .030" - .040" - you have your plugs gapped too close.
This may be all that is keeping the genset from starting.
The code 4 you are getting is merely an Over Crank alarm,. It means the unit has cranked for over 30 seconds without starting. You should never let it crank for more than about 20 seconds without stopping for a couple minutes to let the starter cool.
