I have a john deer 797 with a gas engine it starts overheatng after abought 20 min of mowing the deck shuts of and the overheating alarm comes on flushed radiator and filled with new antifreeze changed thermostat checked water pump looks ok but still overheats any ideas thanks Bill

Based on what you say that you have done and the speed at which this this is getting hot and overheating I would suggest that the water pump is not working. It is heating up really quickly to be any other problem. What engine do you have in this machine?
