Customer Question

I have a Cub Cadet LTX1045 model No 13RX91AT056. I recently replaced the deck engage
cable and everything seemed ok but it now won't start. There is no response when I turn the key. It acts like it does when the blade is engaged. The fuse is good and the lights on the dash meter are on.

Welcome to JUST ANSWER small engines, let me try to help you !! The mower has a pto switch that has to be pushed, before the starter will engage. It is activated by the lever for the pto cable. Is it being pushed? Under the area mounted on the frame, so the pto lever/cable linkage can push it. With the new cable, it may need to be adjusted.

it is being pushed all the way in

Hi, my name is***** will try to assist you.

Did the machine work okay immediately after you replaced the cable?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
it has started since I replaced cable but only once
Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 2 years ago.

Try holding backwards on the deck engage lever when trying to start the machine and see what happens. I am wondering if you are not contacting the safety switch that is on the deck engage lever this would cause the machine to not do anything. It has to either be that switch or the clutch/brake switch which according to previous information that you have provided it sounds like you have already checked the clutch/brake pedal switch.
