If you have spark, you may have plugged needle valve and float in carburetor.

the diagram is for a 14.5 briggs and not a 13.5. Really looking to see the solenoid. It has a 4 post, and not sure that is correct part or not. Problem I am having is turning the key and getting the engine to turn over. Top wire from the switch, is hot when the key is turned to start. It the diagram shows that going to the small post on the solenoid. With 4 post, my understanding is that to ground the solenoid, one of the small posts goes to ground. With the switch wired that way, it will blow the fuse. Hate working on machines after someone else did.

Wiring should be no difference between the two engines!

You are correct on the four wire solenoid, one small post has to be grounded, or has to complete the ground circuit for safety swithces.

Swisher does things different than most!

thanks but diagram didn't help. Disconnected everything and went by the user manual that came with it. Just a drawing but finally found the issue. Fuel shut off wires shirted together. Wired up and turning over, have spark. Rebuild the carb and should be all set.

Good job! Most Briggs on Swishers have no anti-backfire fuel solenoids.
