So the engine dies when you put water to the machine? Do you get water flow through the pump with the engine off?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
yes.The pump cuts the engine off when water is connected to the pump.

I t acts like it bogs the motor down and cuts off.

As long as you are getting water flow through the pump with the engine shut off, i am going to say that you have an unloader valve problem. You can take that unloader valve out and clean it good, maybe lubricate it and reinstall it and see if it fixes your problem.

My husband is a mechanic and he has taken it apart and cleaned everything and put it back together and it still does the same thing hook the water hose to the pump and start engine and it bogs the motor down and shuts it off immediately.

So if he has or tries to clean the unloader valve it still does the same thing then he is going to have to replace the pump.
