I have a John Deere 155c. The battery is going dead between uses. I put a volt meter between the negative post and the negative wire and it is drawing with the key off. If I pull the fuse it doesn't draw. If I disconnect the voltage regulator it doesn't draw...

Replace the voltage regulator! It has diodes init and it bad, will draw battery!
