Customer Question

On Sept. 15, 2014, the Nexus Panel was replaced due to the generator running during an outage, but it did not power the house. Today, July 10, 2015, the same situation occurred. All breakers were on and the green light in the side panel is on. Why won't my generac generator function when I need it?

My name is ***** ***** I am going to assist you with this.
I know this is not what you are going to want to hear, but there are several things that can cause the genset to not make power. And even at that, the problem this time may not be in the genset - it may be in the transfer switch.
It is definitely a strange coincidence that it happened both times during a power outage.
A thorough diagnostic will need to be performed to find out what failed.
