Customer Question

I have a JD GT 262
The mower just stopped running. Not the tractor, the mower blades.
The tractor hesitated a minute, the blades stopped turning, and the tractor motor picked back up.
The mower doesn't respond at all to the blade control rocker.
I did not hit anything.
There is nothing jammed in the belt or the blades, and the belt is fine.
The tractor runs fine, or as fine as it has been.
The mower blades just don't move.

Welcome to JUST ANSWER small engines, let me try to help you !! Can you take jumper wires direct from the battery to the electric clutch and jump it , to see if the magnet engages. Engine does not even need to be on! If the clutch clicks, the clutch should be good, ad the switch or the wires between the switch and clutch may be damaged, or there is no voltage to the pto switch.
