my Honda generator 3000I starts great runs great and at some point just shuts down oil level is fine what could be wrong?

One simple thing to check. It may be a gas cap is bad and not allowing the fuel tank to vent. When this happens the fuel flow to the carburetor will gradually decline as a vacuum is created in the fuel tank. Eventually fuel flow will stop completely. Try removing the gas cap, leave it off and run the generator to see if the problem persists.
