What is usually wrong when the switch to actuate mower blades doesn't work?

There are several things that can cause this. I will list them in order of mist likely.
1. The battery does not have enough charge to engage the Electric PTO. YEs it can have enough to start the engine and stile not have enough for the PTO.
2. The belt may have broken or come off of the pulleys.
3. The switch itself may be bad.
4. The battery cables may not be fight and not making good connections.
5. The pto itself may be bad and need replaced.
There are some other possibilities but these are the most likely.
