I am trying to change the belt on a Cub Z Force S with a 48

Customer Question

I am trying to change the belt on a Cub Z Force S with a 48 inch deck. I can't get the new belt behind the belt keeper on the rear fixed idler pulley. When it tried to loosen the nut on top of the idler pulley it just turns. I guess there is a bolt head under the deck, but I cannot see or reach it. The instructions in the manual make no mention of how to deal with this. How do I get the new belt on?

Welcome to JUST ANSWER small engines, let me try to help you !! You want the easy way? Bend the bracket back just enough to get t the belt in place, then use a hammer to tap it back into place. Hard way, stand the deck up on it's side and locate the bolt head, hold it while you loosen the nut .
