Hi my name is ***** ***** welcome to just answer. What type of mower do you have ? , try removing the air filter and shoot a little gas in there so it gets to the carburetor and see if it will start for a few seconds

It is a lawnboy silver series 4 cycle 6 hp. I can't figure out where the Ir filter is.

Ok , do you happen to know the model number ? . Lawn boy used tecumseh engines on older ones and kohler engines on newer ones . If I get the model number I can help you find the air filter

Ok here is a diagram The round thing near part 20 is the air filter , the cutting you push to prime it is the carburetor, there the bowl of the carburetor is a brass bolt and it has ports in it , you may have to remove that and make sure the ports are clear
