Ok, the problem I'm having is I think the choke piece isn't

Ok, the problem I'm having is I think the choke piece isn't connected to the throttle. Looking at the motor I can see how giving it full throtle pushes into the choke, but when you pull it back the choke doesn't go with it.... I'm assuming I'm missing a spring or connecting piece.
