I was hoping for a specific person, or several people I could call within several hundred miles on my home, Wilmington Delaware.

Everyone local I have contacted so far say they cannot get parts for this engine and try so sell me a $10,000.00 new generator.

I only need an overhaul on the existing motor which runs but is getting very noisy.

No need to respond immediately. If it takes until one day next week to find a dealer who can overhaul this engine that is OK.

Engine will not come out of the boat until the first week in Oct. If the dealer wants to check engine in the boat before deciding if they can repair, they can call my cell at XXX-XXX-XXXX. if dealer wants to check engine, they should be fairly close to the Bohemia River in Chesapeake City, MD.

I don't understand why they are telling you there is no parts available.

This set uses the GX360 engine, which is very common.

It sounds to me more like someone simply does not want to work on it, just because it is a genset, and not a stand alone engine.

I do no live anywhere near Delaware (I am in Kentucky), and do not know anyone on your area.

But the links I gave you will list all dealers within 50 miles.

If you change the city, you can expand that range to whatever you want.
