What is the brand and model number of the genset?

Guardian series
20 kw
Expert:  Hank F. replied 6 years ago.

There are dozens of Guardian series 20kW sets - I need the exact model number.

Also, since it is a 20kW, I need to know if the word 'NEXUS' in on the controller, next to the start switch.

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
We are checking-- have to go outside to verify.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Yes it says nexus controller

The exact error message is:

Stopped - Alarm
under voltage

Irbid flashing

The unit is née but it doesn't seem ton have a model number anywhere - where would I find it?
Expert:  Hank F. replied 6 years ago.

The model number is XXXXX a sticker pasted to the left side of the divider that the control panel is mounted to.

It is right next to the front cylinders valve cover.

(NNN) NNN-NNNNis the model number

I understand the situation you are in, and sympathize.

But I need you to acknowledge the fact that since this set is new, it is still under warranty, and without contacting your local Generac service center, anything you do to it may void your warranty.

The first thing you need to do is to check the battery - make sure it if fully charged.

A voltmeter connected to it should read 12 to 12.6 volts.

If it is low, you can try jump starting it with another 12V battery.

Does this get is running?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Well unfortunately I don't know where the battery is and I don't have a voltmeter
Expert:  Hank F. replied 6 years ago.

The battery is inside the genset enclosure - you will need to open the lid and remove the front panel to access it.

But you will need a meter to test it.
