I have a John Deere 210 lawn tractor with a stuck clutch pedal.

Customer Question

I have a John Deere 210 lawn tractor with a stuck clutch pedal. I was mowing and pressed the clutch in a rough area, bumped the mower deck into a small stump and the clutch pedal became stuck in the down position. The tractor is stuck in gear and will not move at all no matter what gear the shifter is in. Any Ideas?

Hello and welcome to Just Answer,

The clutch just takes the tenstion off of the belt. Check to make sure that the parking brake lock did not stick as well. Does the pedal stay in the down position or does it come back up to the released position, but you have no power to the wheels?

...and yes, there is no power to the wheels.

Here is breakdown of the clutch setup on that unit. If the pedal is stuck down then the linkage is bent or bound up.
