VerifiedI can certainly help you, but as your were informed, it's probably cheaper to buy a new generator. You'll need to add a starter, a flywheel with teeth, a battery, battery box, key switch, wiring harness, and optionally a charging coil under the flywheel unless you plan on charging the battery from the 12VDC outlet on the generator. These parts do indeed add up, and you're placing them on an engine that already has some years on it.
