Take the top cover off of the engine. It is held on by about 6 bolts. Once you take the top cover off you will be able to see the coil. Unbolt the coil and unhook the wires. Install the new coil and put a business card between the legs of the coil and the flywheel magnets to set the gap and then tighten up the mount bolts. Put the cover back on and install the bolts.
