On a Briggs engine model 31C707 Type 0230-E1, what is the adjustment

On a Briggs engine model 31C707 Type 0230-E1, what is the adjustment on a feeler gauge for the rocker arms upper and lower? My engine started backfiring and will not fire now.

The adjustment on the intake is .003"-.005" and the exhaust is .004"-.006" Make sure the piston is 1/4" past TDC on the power stroke to eliminate the compression release affecting your adjustments, Also the intake valve will have the aluminum pushrod.
