no a cub cadet cc 4125 weed wacker how do you remove head of unit to replace string. already removed all outer screws holding all covers.

What year model is your trimmer? The standard head uses short pieces of string, that you just push a button and thread the string pieces thru. Does yours use a roll of string, and you use the Bump technique to advance the line?

Looks like the four screws are all that is holding it. There is a nut in the center, but it just holds the recoil assy. together.

i would have thought that bolt was left thread but its not after that you have a counter wieght that is treaded to shaft which is also right the question is after i get back from store with new string how do i or should say what is the easiest way to reload spring.

Try putting the pull rope on just as it goes, including the pull handle, leave it loose, and then catch the rope inside the handle and use the rope to turn the spring as it coils the rope. When you get close to end, goes another round and check to see if it will recoil full distance.
