We have a Cushman Turf Turckster Model #(NNN) NNN-NNNNand cannot figure out how to remove the rear brake drums to inspect the brakes or any other parts within the brake drum area.

Tom, does the drum have a large nut in the center holding it on? If so it is on a keyed shaft and will require a puller to remove. Just like an old jeep. If there is nothing showing to hold it on, it has the axle shaft holding it, you will have to take the cover off the differential and remove the clips on the axle shafts. Then the axle shaft and drum can be removed as a unit. Cushman is not very good at serial number breaks and which parts go where.
