This answer was rated:

I have a John Deere LT 160 Lawn tractor- it's running rough at full throttle- I changed the plug, and it still runs rough- is there a high speed adjustment on this carb? It seems to auto choke and the governor pulls back the rpm.

Hi

are you saying the engine surges???

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
no- it seems to increase then decrease rpm- up and down - when I push in the pto for the mower, it soes not seem to have enough power- it's almost like the auto choke is kicking in- can you adjust the carb on this model- I can not find the air mix screws

I can nt seem to get it to reach the maximum rpm- I did replace hte throttle cable (it broke) and it ran fine since last year- I have run new fuel and put a "dry gas" product through it too.

ok
