what are the valve clearances on a Kawasaki engine in a john deere 757 z-trak? Also the specs for the head bolt torque?

Which model number Kawasaki engine are you working on?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
ENO is FH721DA17142 It is a two cylinder overhead valve motor in a john deere 757 Z-trak lawn mower. I replaced the head and related parts after I had a valve guide slide out and bent a pushrod.

Thank you.

Valve clearance is .004" -.006" on both intake and exhaust.

Head bolt torque is 19 ft. lb.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Rick I appreciate the info. My JD dealer wanted to sell me a complete rebuild so I wasn't going to ask him for the info. Hope I am not the idiot for just replacing what I did.

JD has a great reputation to protect, so sometimes they do a bit of overkill to protect the reputation. Gotta respect that, but it gets pretty pricey.

If you need anything else let me know. I'll help however I can.

Thank you for the accept, and best of success!
