Often, the cause of the machine getting stuck in descale mode is a missed or hurried step in the descaling process. Some steps you can try to help solve this issue are:

1. Be sure the tank has enough water.

2. Hold the descaling button until the cycle lights are flashing.

3. Place a container underneath your steam valve and open it.

4. The machine will stop draining when the tank is empty. Close the steam valve.

5. Remove your water tank and add at least two inches of water to the bottom.

6. Place it back into the machine.

7. Open the steam valve again; the water should run right out.

The above steps should get your machine going again. It would be best to run a regular descale cycle after completing this process.
