JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: just lately every pattern I send over to my machine, there is about a 4 stitch I would call it a catch st before each color. Any idea how to fix this. I'm pretty sure it must be the software
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

Do you have the most current update for your version of MB ??

Next is whether you have a new computer/laptop, system you are running all the good background to see if we can pinpoint the troubles

What Janome Machine ? Serviced last ?
Can you sew normally OK... ZZ is OK ??
Try a few fancy inbuilt stitches to see how the overall integrity of the base sewing is
Are the designs kosher Janome or freebies from Dr Google ??
