I am trying to thread my
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: bernina H70 sewing machine and the top thread will not pickup the bobbin thread
JA: What's the sewing machine's make and model? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Bernina Bernette H70. I guess it is about 5 years old
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes it was sewing and the thread broke and now I can't get it to pick up the bobbin thread.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

Take apart your bobbin and make certain there are no small pieces of thread or lint in it.

Also try changing the needle - if is is blunt or bent it may not take up the thread.

If there are no obvious blockages then there may be a mechanical fault.
