How old is your singer machine?

Also, did it quit, while the motor was actually running, or did it just not start wen you released the pedal and then tried to use it again? No response from the pedal.

Hi yes it will operate the other components it just cant work the motor as per the failed pedal, its common issue with that part. Im confident it this diagnosis and I have over 30 years as a service tech for these ;-)
