Customer Question
I need a paper...

I need a paper on It can be uncomfortable to realize that you have come either from a place of oppression or privilege. Individuals seldom use these terms to describe themselves or others. However, oppression and privilege impact every aspect of people's lives. As you consider your own place in society, consider your emotional attachment to where you see yourself within these social constructs. Consider the assumptions made about you based on how you look, the clothes you wear, or the car you drive. Consider how the social construction of gender and race can impact your work as a social worker.Submit a 2- to 4-page journal entry in which you analyze your reactions to the social construction of power, racial, and gender characteristics. Explain how race and gender interact with privilege and oppression. Identify and analyze which characteristics of oppressed or privileged individuals with which you identify.

Week 2: Worldview, Dominant Worldviews, and Structural Inequality
Last week you learned how race, ethnicity, and gender are socially constructed and play an important role in identity. This week you further explore these topics by analyzing marginalization and oppression. In many societies, privilege is based on race, gender, socioeconomic status, physical ability, and sexual orientation. This creates a society that unfairly provides advantages for some while creating barriers for others. Some scholars believe these advantages and barriers have become embedded into our social institutions. Consider your own place of privilege and/or marginalization. How do you think privilege, oppression, marginalization, and power will impact your work as a social worker?During this week, you will also identify the importance of integrating multiculturalism in social work practice and analyze your own personal responses to concepts of multiculturalism, power, gender, and privilege.Learning Objectives
Students will:
Analyze marginalization and oppression
Analyze the relevance of multiculturalism, power, and privilege to social work practice
Analyze personal responses to social construction of multiculturalism, power, gender, and privilege
