What is time-barr prosecution

Customer Question

what is time-barr for criminal prosecution

It depends on the offence. There is no time bar for common crimes such as murder, rape, assault etc. Most statutory crimes, like road traffic, are six months. Other offences may have time limits contained in the statutes that created them. Happy to discuss further. I hope that helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.
