My husband has just been convicted of assualt with a weapon

Customer Question

Hi my husband has just been convicted of assualt with a weapon (a childs cricket bat) He has to see a social worker before sentencing in four weeks. He has never been in trouble before and although there were faults on both sides the judge has went with the other man. Can you tell me what may be the outcome and if this will cause any problems when we go to Floriday in september for ours sons 21st birthday with our family?
Thanks margo

What are the family's persona, employment and personal circumstances, did he plead guilty or was he convicted after trial and does he have a prior criminal record?

We are elf employed, my husband is a very well known scottish chef with 35 years experiance, we have owned our restaurant for the past 10 years without any troubles. My husband has no previous convictions, this is a first for him. We are comfortable but not well off, we work 14 hour days to make the restaurant a success.
