The starter does not use a relay for this system. The power comes from the ignition switch, goes through the neutral safety switch, and then goes straight to the starter solenoid. If you are having intermittent starting, then you will need to check the voltage from the neutral safety switch and the ignition switch to see which one is not sending the voltage to the starter. If the problem happens, try moving the shifter to see if it starts. If it does, then the neutral safety switch is most likely bad.
