The oil level control plug (65) is located on the torque converter side of the transmission.

Have you seen any issues with transmission failures at 40,000 miles? I'm trying to isolate what couls cause excessive noise. I figure tires, transaxles, or transmission. I'm going to try starting small (trans fluid) and work my way up. the tires seems OK, no excessive wear.
