Customer: 2006
JA: Are you fixing your Turbo yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes need to replace the purge valve
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no just location and can I order part, how hard to replace. was told easy 15 minuet job?

Hello, my name is***** we start can you tell me how the vehicle is running besides the light being on?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Runs fine just a little rough idle.had codes pulled and got P2187 andP0496. I understand the purge valve is a common issue with SAAB.

That does sound like the problem. If you know where your mass air flow sensor, this is the sensor in the air intake hose between the air filter in the engine, then you will see a hose that is connected near the mass air flow sensor. Follow this hose and it goes to the purge valve. If you still have trouble finding it please let me know.

Ok I believe it is located on the passenger side strut tower. Here is a picture, when I look up the part online the online part seems to be slightly different then this one? Is that the norm? Or should it be identical

Yes, that is it.
