Yes, what you're feeling is almost surely normal. With nearly all modern vehicles as you approach wide open throttle the engine controller disable the a/c compressor. If you accelerate heavily with the a/c on and are observant then you'll notice the vent temperature warm up, which will be more apparent the longer you accelerate and when outside temperatures are hotter. If the only time you're noticing it warm up is under hard acceleration then I'm certain you don't have a problem.
