Saab 95 wagon: 95, 2001, hyway speed, sudden engine(?) vibration,

Customer Question

95, 2001, hyway speed, sudden engine(?) vibration, white smoke from tailpipe smelling like burnt rubber, oil light flashes on and then stays off, engine quits. (Oil checked and was clean but 1qt+ low. Coolant level good. Oil added, engine runs but was towed to shop where they said "it's the turbo".) Correct?

I would agree with the shop on this one the turbo going bad will cause all the symptoms you just described while it is costly fix it needs to be done for the engine is damaged beyond repair
