Howdy and welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** and I am a Master Certified RV Tech. I have been working on RVs for 35 plus years. I understand how frustrating RV issues can be.  I see you are having some electrical issues.  The first thing to do  is turn  the breakers off  and on at the pole to make sure they are not tripped.  Then go inside your motorhome and turn all the breakers off and then back on to make sure none of them are tripped.

do you by chance have a multimeter to measure voltage in several places?

Could we continue tomorrow?
RV Mechanic: KevinS121,
 replied 11 months ago

Yes.  I will be on line tomorrow after 9 AM CST.  Be glad to continue.  Would it be possible to get a multimeter tomorrow?  It will make trying to isolate the problem a whole lot easier.  I recommend a digital one that can read both ACV and DCV and Ohms.  Here is a sample.  They are available at any auto parts store or home improvement store.  I can walk you through how to use it.

It could be behind the breaker panel.

Customer reply replied 11 months ago
I cannot thank you enough Kevin. I will go buy one first thing in the morning, I’m going to check behind the breaker panel again right now, I will let you know if we locate it in just a moment.

Ask Your Own RV Question
Customer reply replied 11 months ago
Is it that black box in the upper right corner of the second pic?
RV Mechanic: KevinS121,
 replied 11 months ago

I cannot see the second picture very well.  On the first one, I would look at my connections in the junction box and I have pointed another item under the fridge for you.  This is the power converter that converts your 120vac to 12vdc and charges the house batteries when plugged in.  This does not have a bearing on what we are looking for at this time.

Ask Your Own RV Question
Customer reply replied 11 months ago
Could we possibly just need new breakers?
RV Mechanic: KevinS121,
 replied 11 months ago

that is possible.  A meter can tell us for sure.

Ask Your Own RV Question
Customer reply replied 11 months ago
Ok, because we noticed a popping sound with sparks when we tried re-establishing power
RV Mechanic: KevinS121,
 replied 11 months ago

that could be loose wires or bad breakers.  Remove the cover off of the breakers and fuses and take a picture.

Kevin, you are amazing. Thank you so much for the other night. We were able to get someone to come out the next morning, it was the transfer switch.
To fix it on a budget, we had them hardwire the transfer switch to pole power only, sacrificing our generator abilities but it’s the affordable fix we could make right now.
You are amazing and although we weren’t able to fix it that night together, the support and peace you brought me was the real gift and service, inspiring hope and unknowingly comfort.Thank you for being you.
Merry 2022 Kevin ❤️
