YES the heat should be coming out of the floor ducting when you select the furnace option and raise the temp. IF you have the fans set to low or high on the thermostat then the fan on the AC unit is going to run, this is to help circulate the air coming out of the floor vents, once in Auto and furnace setting it should stop blowing from the AC units.
