Hi, I'm Robert. Welcome to JustAnswer. I'm reviewing your question now and will post back with your reply momentarily.
Do you have the make and model of the water heater? Should be a sticker under the outside access panel.
Thanks, Robert
OK
Please give me several mins to type a response, lots to cover.

Some items can be ruled out since it lights and then goes out.
First thing is the LP pressure, we have to assume the pressure is good. Go to the LP tank and shut the supply valve and then slowly open it up and then run the stove burner for several mins. Sometimes if the valve is opened to fast the regulator can lock up and you may not get the proper pressure, slowly open the valve and then run the stove burner.
Next I would blow out the burner tube under the outside access panel if any bugs or debris got inside the tube it would be a problem.
Locate the circuit board on the side of the tank, the orange electrode wire under the access panel goes to the board, you will have to go inside the RV to the same area as the outside access and may have to pull some drawers or a false panel. Unplug the connector on the board and then plug it back in, I have seen some cases where they do not secure the board on the side of the tank and vibration can make the plug come loose.
Next you are looking at a circuit board or electrode issue. Most good RV shops can test the board with a special board tester, if the board test good then I would start with replacing the electrode.

You should have an air shutter adjustment on the burner tube, let me get you a service manual, I would adjust on that to see if it helps.
Give me a few.
Robert
Below is one of the better manuals, look that over. You can see the burner tube air shutter on page 13. Normally you can move the tube to cover the space where the air is going into and that would normally be a nut on the tube you remove and slide it back and forth. I might also blow out the exhaust really good and make sure nothing has gotten inside, sometimes mud daubers can get inside and make nests and that throws off the air flow.
