The key here is the fan is coming on but no spark. AS the fan comes up to speed it blows on a sail switch. Once the sail switch closes it passes voltage to the circuit board and only then will you get spark. So this could be low DC voltage, faulty sail switch or the circuit board.

Make sure you have good DC battery voltage, if the voltage falls below 12 volts the blower motor fan can slow down and may not spin fast enough to close the sail switch. IF the voltage is good and you can access the circuit board I would have a RV shop test it out, a special board tester can be used to see if the board is good. IF the board checks out good the sail switch is suspect, the furnace may need to be removed to get at the sail switch as it sits under the housing for the blower motor, to test you would want to see continuity through the switch when it closes, if you have continuity it means the voltage should be passing.

Hope this points you in the right direction.

Thank you. I talked to mfr and they think it is the sail switch, too.
RV Mechanic: Robert, RV Mechanic replied 2 years ago

Understand, I wanted to cover all the possible problems and it probably is that sail switch, you gave a great description of the problem.

Have a great day.
