Hi, I'm Robert. Welcome to JustAnswer. I'm reviewing your question now and will post back with your reply momentarily.

I suspect you are on the right track with this being the high limit is the issue, it will be a small disc that sits near the burner chamber. Make sure the chamber is clear and clean, it sounds like you have checked that already. IF the high limit is not the issue then it could be the circuit board as well shutting it down. Make sure you also have good DC battery voltage when it shuts down, if for some reason the DC voltage was dropping off then it could cause the furnace to shut down. You could bypass the high limit for testing only and see if it runs past that 10 min mark, if so then I would replace it.

Hope this points you in the right direction.

Robert, This is a new 4 month old unit. The initial problem was thermostat would start blower and shutdown 30 seconds later without trying to light. A fouled sail switch was the issue. I cleaned, reinstalled unit and tired of up. It can find but burner would cycle of after several minutes and relight 90 seconds later with the blower running all the time. This led me to change the high limit cutout and it is doing the same thing with a new one. Further research found the anticipater pushed low off scale. Atwood stated they set them all at 1.0. The valve is a 0.43. I am running it at 0.55 and with current temps is is meeting demand without short cycling. I think for now the warmer temps and shorter demand cycles is covering the problem because it can find for 4 months with the anticipater set low as possible. Some points to ponder. 1) There is a wad of dust bunny causing low air flow causing an actual low flow condition. 2) A possible had cool on gas valve that is expanding after heating causing an open until clam out and fools down 3) sail switch is intermittent but I don't think since each failed cycle times the same down to the seconds. Is there possibly something on the board causing this problem. I have a new board. I was waiting on warmer weather to remove the unit and bench test it with instruments on each safety to see what is actually causing the situation. Any ideas!

You always need good voltage through the sail switch and high limit. The DC voltage should be above 12 volts, if for some reason the voltage drops below 11.5 volts the fan can slow down and the sail switch can open up and cause the flame to go out. The electrode senses the flame and tells the board to shut off the gas valve if the flame is not going, so it could be the board or electrode but if it appears to be the same amount of time for each cycle then you may be on to something with the thermostat.

I might try the new board as well when you can to rule that out, nothing wrong with carrying a spare one.
