Hi, I'm Robert. Welcome to JustAnswer. I'm reviewing your question now and will post back with your reply momentarily.
The fridge could be giving you a code, can you please get me the model number of the Dometic? should be a sticker inside the door, most start with a RM or DM and then number.
Robert
OK
I need to look some info up on that model, please give me several mins to reply back.
Thanks, Robert
OK
So you need to check the thermo fuse located on the flue canister, click HERE and have a look, it is shown in the picture, the thermo fuse is about the size of a quarter and has a really small button in the center that you push in to reset it. When it trips it will shut the fridge down. IF it will not reset let the fridge cool off and try again. IF it keeps tripping then there could be another issue going on. Below is a also a close up of the thermo fuse.
IF you need more help on this please let me know....
Robert
OK....
DO you have a volt meter?
Robert
That is good but you need to check for voltage on the circuit the thermo fuse is on you should have voltage through the thermal fuse, on some DM models there is also another diode type fuse on that circuit try and follow the wires in and out of the thermo fuse to see if you can locate it. You always want to verify the DC voltage at the back of the fridge if possible. In the link I sent you it would be 12 volt terminal block where you check for voltage.
Robert
Go disconnect the DC power from the terminal block for about 10 mins and then see what happens, I know you pulled the fuse but I want you to try the supply wires at the terminal block.
Robert
10-4
Robert
Good, keep an eye on it should be good for now.
