Hi! My name is ***** ***** I can assist you with this. I may need some additional information from you first in order to give a complete answer.
Good morning! Thank you for bringing your question to us here at Just Answer. I have an RV repair facility and work on these for a living and I fully understand the frustration you have when things are not working as they should. I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with your awning.
Did you remember to open up the tab locks on each leg? If so, is the release lever on the forward end in the "Open" position? Check those two things and then get back to me. All follow ups are included in our one time fee. No time limit. Thanks! Randall in RV
Did you flip the lever on the end of the roller tube so it will extend? It may be in the retract position.
Not very large. What is the make and model of this awning? Or attach a photo of that end so I can see it. Use the paperclip icon for that. Randall

Let me take a look and get back to you.
That is real old hardware! That is that "Bolt" up on top. Best spray that with some WD40 first and let it sit. It might break if you don't. Let me know what happens.
Then you may have to take it apart and clean it up first. I can tell you that this company went out of business and there are no parts for this. Maybe time for an upgrade.
You are most welcome!
