Hello....we recently purchased a 2015 Keystone Hideout travel trailer that we have parked at an seasonal site up in northern MN. I am new to tent trailers and I'm wondering if there are any Wifi enabled thermostats on the market made for my trailer. FYI....I just recently replaced the analog thermostat (Coleman-Mach 6 wire thermostat) with a digital Coleman-Mach.

Mechanic's Assistant: Okay, I'll connect you to the mechanic to discuss this further with you. Before I do, is there anything else you want him to know?

We are supposed to be getting Wifi to our property within the next year or two so it's not urgent...but I'd like to know what Wifi enabled stats are out there that I could use. Nope...that's pretty much it.

No. Stick to the one in there. I think you would have been better off with the analog thermostat. Much less troublesome! I have an RV shop and see these all the time. Hope that proves helpful here. Please get back to me later if you need more as all follow ups are included in our one time fee. No time limit.

The analog thermostat only goes down to 55 degrees. The main reason I put it the digital is because I can throttle it down to a much lower temperature when we're not using the trailer (during the week). We live in MN so the lower I can put the temperature while we're gone without things freezing, the more LP gas we can save.I'm new to this trailering thing....and it shocks me to know that somebody doesn't make a Wifi enabled thermostat for a travel trailer, camper or RV.Any reason why that's the case?
RV Mechanic: Randall, RVIA Certification replied 3 years ago

Partially in the design. Digital thermostats are very particular about voltage and spikes and other interference. Analog work about 99% of the time for years.

If there was an analog thermostat that I would be able to throttle down to 45 degrees I'd have probably bought that one. We'll see how long this digital stat lasts and hopefully by the time they get Wifi into our property some expert would have designed a Wifi enabled thermostat for travel trailers. Thanks for the information Randall.

Keep in mind that LP furnaces don't perform well when it gets down towards freezing and below.
