Hi! My name is ***** ***** I can assist you with this. I may need some additional information from you first in order to give a complete answer.
That sounds like one of two things may have happened. Either the gears on the top of each leg have stripped the teeth OR the thrust block in the legs have stripped off the threads. A common problem! If the latter has happened you have to replace both legs. In that event, it might be a good time to upgrade your system to some stronger and better made units. I recommend those made by Bulldog as they are rated at 10K lbs and have a motor on each leg for better control. About $800 for the system including the new switches. Hope that gives you some direction here. Please get back to me if you need more as all follow ups are included in our one time fee.
You would have to take it apart, but if you turn the shaft and the leg won't move that is the cause. This happens quite frequently on legs that really aren't adequate for the weight. I see this question several times a month. I have also done a number of these replacements in my shop.
There are several brands you can go with or just buy new legs for yours. Not hard to install. Bulldog legs have a motor on each leg and no cross-shaft. Two individual switches so you can move each leg independently.
Legs are about $200 each.
You are most welcome! Please tell your friends about our service here at Just Answer.
