Hurricane knocked down power lines. Fried my clock,

Customer Question
Hurricane knocked down power...

Hurricane knocked down power lines. Fried my clock, microwave, TV, stereo, and maybe my water heater. Basically everything plugged in. Why would this happen. I bought a new one, tech installed and within 5 minutes that brand new $500 converter blew again. That's when he decided to check outside and found the power line dangling. Need to describe it to insurance company .

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the coolant level? Has there been any leaking from the hoses?

I'm sorry, it had already been determined it was the converter. But no I had no idea I was supposed to check it. They make it very hard to get to.

Mechanic's Assistant: What is the model/year of your RV?

2005 challenger explorer

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Challenger yourself? What have you tried so far?

Called electrician and he said something about the circle wasn't closed. All this electricity coming in no where to go out. Called AEP. The fixed power line. Installed yet another converter and had to replace air conditioner like I had to replace everything that and everything is working fine now I just don't know how to technically explain this

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

That should be about it
